This was one of my first ever tests of using AI to do weird and funny things on their own. I wanted to have a go at creating a fast and furious style truck hijack only using hummers due to their off road capabilities.

CryEngine 3 : Autumn railway track
As a simple experiment to check what moving train feels like in CryEngine 3 I just took a geometric entity and put it onto a trackview based animation. Afterwards to give the full feel I commenced work on a lush autumn environment.

CryEngine 3 Reventon testing
With a bit of difficulty I managed to import the Humvee xml to the Reventon and get it to be drivable but it is extremely buggy at the moment. i fined tuned the parameters so it is more or less the same as specs s a real Lambo.

CryEngine 3 Grassy plains
Inspired by a project I saw on youtube I wanted to have a go at rendering vast open fields myself. This isn't too difficult but the trick is to maintain performance while not allowing instances to 'pop up' when you get closed to them. I did this by having three layers of grass of the same type, one that is spread far apart but with large view distance, another with medium spread and distance and yet another with high density but low view distance. This maintains quality both close up and far without burning your performance.
The idea s quite similar to that used by fractal graphics which changes quality with distance in varying steps.

CryEngine 3 Suite Room and Bathroom
This was done as a demonstration to show the power of the CryEnigne 3 interior lighting.
CryEngine 3 Hyde park and Medival landscape
I built this out of custom assets I found in the Crysis Niveus map and Crydev.net downloads. It was just as demonstration for what games like Assasins creed might look like on CryEngine 3. I thank the creators of these assets for their good job.
Following my recent visit to Hyde park in London, I was inspired to make a virtual replica of it in CryEngine 3. I used the forest map as my base, flattened it and added a water volume as close as possible a replica to the serpentine river as I remember. Here are some of the pics of this new map.
